Dear Girls Basketball Players and Parents, I hope you’re all doing well. We’re excited to announce that we have a new head coach joining our Girls Basketball program, and we’d like to invite you to a brief team meeting to officially introduce Kelly McMillan. This will be a great chance for both players and parents to meet the coaches, learn about plans for the off-season, and ask any questions you may have. Pioneers,There is a new process for collecting physical and registering for a sport for the 2025-2026 school year. This process will be used at all PWCS high schools. Please see below. We are excited to have your student interested in participating in athletics for the 2025-2026 school year.Parents/Guardians of student-athletes intending to participate in athletics MUST upload their students’ most recent physical to ensure eligibility for participation. Patriot HS announces Kelly McMillan as Head Girls Basketball Coach

Patriot High School Athletics is excited to announce Kelly McMillan as the Head Girls Basketball Coach. During her prep career at Mount Vernon High School, Kelly was a 4 year varsity starter, team captain, and the VHSL leader in 3-pointers made. After an exceptional high school career, Kelly earned a scholarship to William and Mary and was a 3 year starter and team captain. Coach McMillan has been a successful coach at the 16u-17u AAU level and has coached notable players such as:Caitlin Blackman (Patriot alum - Dickinson)Ella Mahaffey (Colgate)Skylar Bibbee (Washington & Jefferson)Laura Williams (University of Southern California)Riley White (Randolph Macon College)Sophie Pavlech (University of Mary Washington)Aliyah Elliott (Christopher Newport University)Coach McMillan is the Vice President of Merchant Services at American Express. 2025 Opening Day Raffle Winners

Last week during our home opener we pulled the raffle winners for this year's Opening Day Raffle Fundraiser. In total their were 14 winners with prizes ranging from $20.00-$200.00 dollars. All proceeds from this fundraising event go directly toward the players and the program. We are very thankful and appreciative of everyone that purchased a ticket or multiple tickets. Stakeholders are huge in any community and we are so gracious to all the supporters we have in Bristow, and around the country. Thank you so much for your support. PHS Baseball 2025 Pre Tryout Sign Up Meeting

The 2025 Baseball pre tryout sign up meeting will be Thursday 2/13/2025 in Room 1404 (Coach Grove's classroom). Please be there by 2:30 and have something to write with. All interested players should know all of their clothing sizes for tracking purposes for potential team orders if they are selected for the squad. If you have any questions please reach out to Coach Grove immediately (grovens@pwcs.edu) In order to participate in tryouts all interested athletes should have the following completed prior to the interest meeting: Yearly Physical (Completed on a VHSL form) SUBMITTED TO PHS PWCS Concussion Training (completed online print form have parent sign it) -Students must take the online Concussion Education training course via the Prince William County Schools website after July 15th of the current year. Patriot Athletics is excited to announce Kevin Marsh as our Head Boys Lacrosse Coach. Coach Marsh brings a wealth of knowledge and excitement to the lacrosse program. He started his coaching career as an assistant at Osbourn Park (1997-2000) and then was the head coach at Battlefield for 15 seasons (2005-2020) before taking some time away from coaching. Coach Marsh has led his previous teams to 7 District Championships, 3 Regional Championships, and appeared in the VHSL State Tournament 7 different times. Coach Marsh is excited to lead the Pioneer program. We will have an interest meeting and parent meeting in the near future. Please follow boys lacrosse at www.patriotpioneers.org for updates.
